you all may remember this beat from my born legends ep entitled "last samurai". well the lovely Krystal Hardwick decided to bless the beat with her wonderful voice and breath new life into the track. check it out and download also pick up krytal's album today.
I'll blow on your face As you sleep The night is cool and We're surrounded by silver clouds All the stars shining above Your arms give me a solace I can't quite explain And yet, this can't be right Let's just exist you and me In our own world The comforts feel like the touch of velvet The taste of caramel Sleeping to dream only to awaken You are the real thing And yet, this can't be right Swimming though the silence below Is heavy Such harmony.. Can it still remain Such harmony Can it still remain Such harmony Can it still?
I've personally been awaiting the return of these two young DMV spitters. The preHISTORIC crew (Z and Alo) link up with fellow spitter AB the Pro for the first single from their upcoming Stone Age project. Phuck wit it.
An Amazing voice, from an amazing beautiful woman, with an amazing music taste = Genius check out the first 2 singles from Krystal Hardwick's upcoming album The Tale of Two Fish dropping late march. Expect an album review and definite feature on her.
Nike Nando is one of the frontrunners of DMV hip hop. The young move maker is preparing his next release, the EP-turned-debut album "Love Day." In this post, you can check out the video for the title track, as well as the previously posted first release from the album, "Might Take Forever."
The DMG collective has been working lately. In this post you'll find the latest tape by DeLorean Music Group member Nova, as well as new tracks from fellow members Prince Akeem, Nike Nando, and Valleo.
DMV emcee Nike Nando dropped a few personal tracks via Twitter. Up top is "Before You Judge Me" with Jay Fresh Kicks, and after the break I've included his rendition of "Gorgeous" that dropped last week.
The homie Paris Jones enlisted some of the brightest upcoming stars for the remix to his already dope original record. I can't front, I STRONGLY support many of these artists and seeing them all link up is crazy.
XV is a relative newcomer from Kansas. I say relative because the young spitter has been making noise for quite some time around the web with his incredibly unique voice and style of rhyme. The kid's nice, to put it simply. Up top, you can check out his brand new video for The Flying V, a standout track from his latest mixtape, Vizzy Zone, which you can download below.
Very dope producer coming out of Annapolis, Maryland. At the bottom of this post, you can hear his latest beat, but by all means, click here to go to the guy's Soundcloud page - there are 64 damn tracks to check out at your leisure. If you can't form an opinion by the end of that, you're deaf.
Nitty Scott is nice. The young lyricist is garnering a crazy amount of buzz as of late, and her freestyle on MTV's Sucker Free has been the culmination of this so far. Emcees like this should be celebrated, and it's most definitely nice to see her getting this amount of shine.
Check out her Sucker Freestyle in the video above, and below, listen to her dope freestyle over the classic Deep Cover beat.
I happened upon Paris Jones earlier this year, through the "Winter" video, which instantly became a favorite song of mine. They young rapper/producer from Los Angeles has been building his fan base, and he's one of few young move makers who doesn't seem to have let his arrogance get ahead of him, returning a great deal of love to those who give him the props he deserves.
Above, you can get a taste of his sound through the aforementioned video for "Winter," featuring April Kelly. Below, you can hear his latest track, "Pop A Bottle."
I discovered Nameless' "16 Bit" project earlier this year while scavenging the internet for beat tapes actually worth downloading. Tons of people online try to flip video game samples, but they're honestly usually trash. Nameless takes these chiptuned tracks and makes them his own. Very rarely will any beat tapes have my head nodding the way this one did.
Recently, Nameless dropped his long-awaited follow up project, "16 Bit: Bonus Stages." Featuring all new instrumentals along with a few tracks made by very talented emcees spitting over Nameless' beats, including many from the original "16 Bit" tape, this is not a producer you want to sleep on.
"16 Bit" can be found below, with "16 Bit: Bonus Stages" after the jump.
One of the more unique young emcees I've come across, Mana is an Iranian lyricist coming out of DC. Up top is a dope storytelling track, and after the jump, check out a song rhymed almost entirely in Farsi.
You can check her Bandcamp page for lyrics to both tracks, including a translation of Azadi.
