Nameless - 16 Bit x 16 Bit:Bonus Stages

I discovered Nameless' "16 Bit" project earlier this year while scavenging the internet for beat tapes actually worth downloading. Tons of people online try to flip video game samples, but they're honestly usually trash. Nameless takes these chiptuned tracks and makes them his own. Very rarely will any beat tapes have my head nodding the way this one did.

Recently, Nameless dropped his long-awaited follow up project, "16 Bit: Bonus Stages." Featuring all new instrumentals along with a few tracks made by very talented emcees spitting over Nameless' beats, including many from the original "16 Bit" tape, this is not a producer you want to sleep on.

"16 Bit" can be found below, with "16 Bit: Bonus Stages" after the jump.

Mana - The Scenario x Azadi

One of the more unique young emcees I've come across, Mana is an Iranian lyricist coming out of DC. Up top is a dope storytelling track, and after the jump, check out a song rhymed almost entirely in Farsi.

You can check her Bandcamp page for lyrics to both tracks, including a translation of Azadi.

Kids These Days - My Days

This is so dope to me. These kids are all in high school, bringing very different talents together to create something truly impressive. Their project, "The Hard Times EP" drops in December 2010.

Valleo - absolutMAG

The second of the DMG's Black Friday releases, Valleo drops his own project along with Prince Akeem's "Noodles & Company." Another impressive project from the Delorean Music Group, the mixtape features remixes of tracks from artists ranging from Drake to John Mayer and features including Cayan and Nike Nando of the DMV area.

Prince Akeem - Noodles & Company

If you're familiar with the DMV area and it's local artists, you should know to keep an eye on the DeLorean Music Group. The young talent involved with the DMG movement are born stars, and Prince Akeem is no exception. On Black Friday 2010, he released his mixtape "Noodles & Company." Featuring guest appearances from fellow DMG spitters Nike Nando, Nova, Valleo and Deron, this is not one to sleep on.
